Shi Kai Wang, who goes by the nickname Shiek,[1] is a senior artist at Bungie Studios who has worked on Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, and Halo 3 artwork and storyboards.
He has sketched many of the ideas for the game, of which several have come to fruition, namely the Halo 2 Covenant races, the Brutes and the Drones. Wang is also responsible for the three distinct architectural styles of the UNSC, Covenant and Forerunner.
Many of his sketches were featured in The Art of Halo and he received high praise from other Bungie employees in the book for his well done and well liked work.
Trivia
- Shiek has had a Navy Tech named after him in the book Halo: The Flood.
- Shiek has also appeared in the Bungie Studios document.
