The Ceromax is a truck platform manufactured by Braithwaite Ltd, and used by the Unified Earth Government and the UNSC in the years following the Human-Covenant War.[1][2]
Overview[edit]
Design details[edit]
The Ceromax is a four-wheeled truck with a particularly sturdy body.[2][1] Its cab has space for at least two occupants, a driver on the left and a passenger on the right. Behind the cab is a sizable bed that can be used to transport various kinds of cargo, including a large tank of water.[2] Despite not being a dedicated military vehicle,[1] the Ceromax appears to be heavily armored, or at least can be modified to support armor plating.[2]
Development and operational history[edit]
While Braithwaite Ltd started off as an industrial transition firm, simply assisting with logistics at fledgling colonies as they grew in population and complexity, this led the company to move fully into first-party engineering efforts. They formed a fleet of light cargo vessels and terrestrial vehicles, with the Ceromax becoming a fine example of the latter. In the wake of the Human-Covenant War, the UEG would use Braithwaite's Ceromaxes widely during their colonial rehabilitation efforts.[1]
Circa 2560, at least one Ceromax would be utilized by UNSC forces in Mombasa to transport non-potable water as the city underwent an urban renewal.[2]
