The M914 Recovery Vehicle[1] is a variant of the M12 Warthog that is outfitted for recovery of damaged vehicles.[1]
Description[edit]
Unlike its standard variant, the M914 is utilitarian by nature, the M914 Recovery Transport is a rare variant designed for extraction of Warthogs that have become immobilized, and for use as a mobile repair bay.[1] It is a faster, stripped down version of the Warthog, built for troop and equipment recovery.[2] It is also equipped with a towing winch and a heavy duty motor and gear system.[3]
Trivia[edit]
The M914 RV bears a heavy resemblance to a vehicle cut during the development of Halo 2. This was later confirmed by Jeff Easterling,[4] with the note that it can change later if 343 Industries needed.[5]
