The Special Warfare Group was the Covenant's military organization responsible for overseeing all special operations.[1]
History[edit]
The Special Warfare Group grew massively in scope and influence in the centuries leading up to, and during, the Human-Covenant War, thanks to the needs of the conflict forcing the Covenant to have to evolve their strategies to deal with new threats.[2]
Divisions[edit]
Special Warfare Group was divided into a number of distinct divisions.
- Special Operations: a specialized division for operating in high-risk, unconventional missions.
- Fleet Security: a specialized division trained for the security of a fleet.
- Home Security
- Mediated Tactics
The Special Warfare Group was also responsible for maintaining a number of specialised infantry roles for the Covenant's military, including Rangers, Commandos, Stalkers and Prelates.[2]
