The Shuku-pattern sentry turret is an automated stationary weapon built by the Covenant for the protection of sectors of interest.[1]

Overview

Design details

The turret rests on an anti-gravity field emitted from a large tripod. The actuator that drives the weapon functions is considered semi-intelligent, obeying its directives with absolute precision. Shuku-pattern turrets are usually placed alongside A'uo'i-pattern sensor emplacements for target acquisition.[1]

Usage

Shuku-pattern turrets were once employed by the Covenant to guard important outposts. Following the end of the Human-Covenant War and fall of the Covenant, many turrets remain active at their sectors, ready to engage trespassers that do not transmit the corresponding authorization codes, now impossible to acquire with the fall of High Charity.[1]

Operatioanl history

Shuku-pattern turrets were deployed in a perimeter surrounding a Covenant outpost on an unknown world.[2]
