- "It's actually a severe violation to not report the acquisition of a Class 9B asset, according to Article 2477-6 of the UNSC Charter for Xenoarcheological Artifact Recovery and Quarantine."
- — The Beta-5 Division operative, "Sapphire Three", to John-117.[1]
The UNSC Charter for Xenoarcheological Artifact Recovery and Quarantine is a document issued by the United Nations Space Command which outlines the proper procedures and regulations pertaining to the discovery of alien artifacts relevant to xenoarchaeology. According to Article 2477-6 of the charter, it is a severe violation to allow the acquisition of a Class 9B asset to go unreported. On September 26, 2557, John-117 was made aware that the activation index from Installation 04 was considered a Class 9B asset and that Cortana's failure to report having taken possession of it could be seen as such a violation.[1]
