The Minister of the Environment is the head of the Gao Ministry of the Environment, responsible for overseeing environmental affairs on Gao. As an executive minister of the Gao Republic, the Minister of the Environment holds a seat on the Cabinet of Ministers.[1]
As of July 5, 2553, Saul Quarres held the office under President Tejo Aponte's administration.[1] Quarres supported Minister of Protection Arlo Casille in his bid to succeed Aponte as president, but by December of that year he had been replaced by Duena Sandos, who had become Casille's closest confidante.[2][3]
