Remote Network Control[1] was a United Nations Space Command computerized defensive system.
In defensive establishments with a primary vulnerable route of entry where often a hindering defensive metal barrier was installed, Remote Network Control allowed for remote opening or closing of the barrier by means of a lever-controlled computer terminal.
Remote Network Control was installed in UNSC installations such as Outpost C9.[2]
