Gameplay

First-person shooters

Main article: First-person shooter

The Transport Hornet is identical in most aspects to the original AV-14 - its primary difference is the lack of the missile launchers found on the base Hornet variant. The Transport Hornet has been seen bearing a white paint scheme, in contrast with the olive traditionally associated with UNSC aircraft.[2]

Like the original Hornet, it has a unique reticle, but no other major HUD elements change. It also can be Skyjacked.

Multiplayer

The Transport Hornet was introduced into Halo 3 with the release of the Legendary Map Pack map Avalanche. The Hornet in this map was adjusted for balance reasons to make it viable for multiplayer play.[2]

Forge

It was later included on the map Sandbox alongside the regular AV-14 to spawn in Forge mode.
