Freebooters are Kig-Yar infantry units hired in service of the Banished.
Overview
Freebooters perform the same role in the Banished as Kig-Yar Minors did in the Covenant, serving as basic infantry, scouts, and guards. Typically, a Jiralhanae or Sangheili officer will lead a squad of Freebooters.
Weapons and equipment
Freebooters are equipped with the Kig'yar's signature handheld shields, and are usually armed with plasma pistols and Needlers.
