Operational History
The 105th Drop Jet Platoon saw action against the theocratic and zealous religious Covenant Army during the Battle of Jericho VII in February 2535 where it was overrun and obliterated by a force of a thousand Unggoy soldiers. With the typical ODST bravado, the 105th likely took many of their Unggoy attackers with them. It is unknown if any Human survived in the battle between the Unggoy.
The unit was later avenged when the offending Grunts were eliminated by SPARTAN-IIs, led by Spartan 117, in the continuing battles ofJericho VII.
Other
- The 105th Platoon should not be confused with the 105th Orbital Drop Shock Trooper Division, although both may have served similar roles.
Trivia
- At first glances, people thought that they were slaughtered by manageable numbers of Grunts, leading some players and fans to think that they were implied to be a poor example of a platoon. But in reality, the 105th Platoon was simply overwhelmed by sheer numbers.
