In the Xbox version of Halo: Combat Evolved, if you create a new profile (or edit an existing one) and call it ".fortune" (dot located with shift on), a random saying will appear on the screen. It is also a cheat that allows the player carry 3 weapons at once.
List of fortunes
- All your hard work will pay off.
- Everything lies in silence.
- If anything just cannot go wrong, it will anyway. (The very basic and first of "Murphy's Laws")
- Nature always sides with the hidden flaw. (Also a Murphy's Law)
- Never wear your best pants when fighting for freedom.
