This image is a scene from a comic book, comic strip or motion comic and the copyright for it is most likely owned by either the publisher of the comic or the writer(s) and/or artist(s) who produced the comic in question. It is believed that the use of low-resolution images of a single panel or a sequence of panels from an interior page of an individual comic, comic book or motion comic to illustrate:
- the scene or storyline depicted;
- the copyrighted comic book character(s) or group(s) depicted on the excerpted panel in question;
where no free alternative exists or can be created, on Halopedia, hosted on servers in the United States, qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law, as such display does not significantly impede the right of the copyright holder to sell the copyrighted material, is not being used to turn a profit in this context, and presents ideas that cannot be exhibited otherwise.
