Design details

The Sword Wraith is designed and employed by the Swords of Sanghelios, and as such designed with more care for crew safety and maintenance protocols than the Wraiths employed by the Covenant. The Sword Wraith is visually similar to the standard Type-58, but has thicker armour than the standard version, leading to higher utilisation rates and healthier pilots.[2] The armoured carapace of the Sword Wraith employs the same crimson red found on other Swords of Sanghelios vehicles.
Usage
The Sword Wraith was employed by the Swords of Sanghelios in the Post-Covenant War conflicts. In 2558, they were put to use in finishing off Jul 'Mdama's Covenant in the Battle of Nuusra.[3] They were later employed by SPARTAN-IV personnel in War Games simulations.[4]
Gameplay
Sword Wraiths appear in Halo 5: Guardians in both campaign and multiplayer. In the campaign, they appear in the mission Swords of Sanghelios. In the multiplayer, they are useable in the Warzone gamemode. The Sword Wraith REQ card has the following attributes;
- Rarity: Uncommon
- Level: 5
Sword Wraiths have 20% more health than a standard Wraith, the same as the Anti-Air Wraith but less than the other REQ Wraith variants.[5]
