Hestia V is a gas giant and the fifth planet in orbit in the Hestia system. Hestia V is orbited by at least seven natural satellites, including the human Outer Colony of Meridian. In 2548, Meridian was attacked by the Covenant and ultimately glassed in 2551 during the Battle of Meridian.[1]
History
During the battle, several of Meridian's colony support ships—including Meridian 5-Alpha—moved to the far side of Hestia V to escape the Covenant. These ships were later reclaimed by the Liang Dortmund Corporation after the Human-Covenant War to aid in the recolonization of Meridian.[2]
