Alexander was a human ship captain and the last civilian commanding officer of UNSC Spirit of Fire. He retired on July 20, 2520, after the "Verent mission". Due to his retirement, the UNSC requisitioned Spirit of Fire and refitted it to be a military vessel.[1]
