Papa Foxtrot 766, designated Gypsy Seven of Gypsy Company, was a UNSC D79-TC Pelican Pelican dropship attached to the UNSC Infinity.[2]
Operational history
During the operation to take out the particle cannons Papa Foxtrot 766 and two other Pelicans served as targeting Pelicans. The three Pelicans were moving into position, when Commander Palmer warned 766 that it was in range of the cannons. 766 ignored the warning and continued toward the cannon, after ignoring a second warning the cannon fired, destroying two of the Pelicans and damaging the third.[2] 766 subsequently crashed into a nearby clearing and Gypsy Company moved in to retrieve the survivors and the target designator required to mark the particle cannons for destruction. The Master Chief swiftly dealt with the swarming Covenant forces and rescued the survivors at the crash site, and subsequently destroyed the particle cannon.
