== The Harbinger ==
I don't think this "Harbinger" should be listed as a Character just yet; it could very well be an organization. In [https://www.videogameschronicle.com/features/interviews/halo-infinite/ an interview], Paul Crocker said that the interviewer was making an assumption that the Harbinger was "a guy" (meaning a character).--[[User:The Ragin Pagan|The Ragin Pagan]] ([[User talk:The Ragin Pagan|talk]]) 22:29, July 23, 2020 (EDT)

The Colon

If we're not going to give Halo: Infinite a colon and label it as Halo Infinite; We need to change Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo: Reach, and all other Halo games of the same format to have no colon either. It's all colons or none have colons, we should be consistent. Halo Infinite's logo is formated in the same way as Halo Reach and Halo Combat evolved so they all should have the same naming systems.

Either

  • A) Halo: Infinite
  • B) remove the colons from Halo Combat Evolved, Halo Reach, etc as well

Editorguy (talk) 18:22, 10 June 2018 (EDT)

The difference is that Halo Infinite is marketed without a colon. It doesn't need a colon nor should the colons be removed from past games. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 18:27, 10 June 2018 (EDT)
Alright, Upon closer inspection I see your point. We need to cite this though. One momentEditorguy (talk) 18:29, 10 June 2018 (EDT)
My mistake, sorry. It's really confusing and dumb of them to change the naming format imo. But facts are facts, cited it up.Editorguy (talk) 18:35, 10 June 2018 (EDT)
To be honest, the note isn't that necessary either. Halo Wars didn't have a colon either, and we never felt the need to point it out. Imrane-117 (talk) 12:35, 19 August 2018 (EDT)
I messed up big time with the whole colon thing, my bad. Editorguy (talk) 01:43, 29 October 2018 (EDT)

E3 Trailer

Should it be clarified that what was shown at E3 was a tech demo to display the Slipspace Engine, rather than an actual game trailer? The Ragin Pagan (talk) 21:32, 18 August 2018 (EDT)

Confirmation of Installation 07

What's with the recent Installation 07 appearance? Despite the heavy evidence, has this actually just been confirmed?.TellThat2TheCovenant (talk) 22:23, 12 June 2018 (PDT)

Well I cant toss the whole SOS XETA HALO GRD completely xD -CIA391 (talk) 04:21, 13 June 2018 (EDT)
If we're confirming Installation 07 on "SOS XETA HALO GRD" we should also include 2560 as the date as shown on the Pelican's dashboard. Also plottwist theory, what if the SOS means Swords of Sanghelios? Dun! Dun! Duuuuun!Editorguy (talk) 05:46, 13 June 2018 (EDT)
Its more a mention of the ring at the moment. Not an appearance yet, the "date" might not even be a date also. We should only give stuff thats hard fact so not to give the wrong idea on stuff.-CIA391 (talk) 03:06, 19 August 2018 (EDT)

Image naming convention

I feel like this is something we should get sorted out before we start getting deluges of new information in the future, as to prevent creating more work for ourselves later on. What prefix/ format should image filenames have for Infinite? In the same vein as File:H2A_X, File_HCEA_X etc. I was thinking HINF, but I'm open to suggestions. Either way, I think it's something we should pin down sooner rather than later. BaconShelf (talk) 13:58, 17 December 2018 (EST)

Agreed with File:HINF-Blarg.jpgSith Venator Mega Blastoise.gif (Dank Memes) 23:41, 17 December 2018 (EST)
I was thinking File:HI Blarh.jpg keeps things in line with most sources. And HI isnt used yet outside the whole Halo Infinity Animations which need a page.-CIA391 (talk) 04:57, 18 December 2018 (EST)
I was thinking that HINF would help futureproof against any future products released that may be better served with a "HI" prefix.BaconShelf (talk) 05:33, 18 December 2018 (EST)

Permutations link

Is it really necessary to have this linked right now, seeing as even if someone were to create the page, there would be practically nothing to put on it?--D9328 (talk) 11:15, 22 December 2018 (EST)d9328

Appearances on other pages

As game development does change, is it wise for us to put appearances on each page based on the announcement trailer atm? I mean by all means the "Brontothere" may be cut out of Halo Infinite for one reason or another despite being a key part of the announcement trailer, and thus is may be wise to keep things limited to this page till release?-CIA391 (talk) 17:01, 2 January 2019 (EST)

To add to this. The making of stream also said Johns armor is due to change a lil. So by all means doesnt this mean that anything in the trailer can change including but not limited to designs that were from another game?-CIA391 (talk) 17:06, 2 January 2019 (EST)
I think it's very much safe to assume everything in an announcement trailer - especially one confirmed to be a mere engine demo - is subject to change. We've seen this time and time again, so there's little doubt Infinite will be any different. Even if all of those specific appearances aren't removed from the list, it should at least be prefaced with a note about their uncertain status. --Tacitus (talk) 12:36, 3 January 2019 (EST)

Can we please stop saying Zeta Halo is not confirmed for Halo Infinite?

No, Until a source officially confirms it. BaconShelf (talk) 13:07, June 15, 2019 (EDT)
I mean, that's exactly what I just showed.TheEld (talk) 13:08, June 15, 2019 (EDT)TheEld
An employee liking a tweet isn't strong evidence, and could be interpreted in any number of ways. BaconShelf (talk) 13:09, June 15, 2019 (EDT)
Yea unforunately a "Like" is not proof. At best it can be seen as an opinion. But proof is better had in "words". As Bacon said regarding a like, it "could be interpreted in any number of ways".-CIA391 (talk) 15:55, June 15, 2019 (EDT)

Should we mention the grappling hook leak?

Yes, I vote we should mention it, as there are little hopes for it to be included in Halo Infinite, but developers mentioned the probability that it could be added in the final game. SpartansNeverDie (talk) 04:59, February 25, 2020 (EST)

It was confirmed not to be Halo Infinite related at this current time. Plus we dont discuss leaks. To easy for stuff to be wrong.-CIA391 (talk) 05:45, February 25, 2020 (EST)
I agree with the above.BaconShelf (talk) 05:58, February 25, 2020 (EST)

Should we create the Halo 6: Yabda Cuts Loose page?

I don't know about this, that is why I added this discussion to the talk page.

I am proposing two options-

  • We should wait until an official article comes listing the details of the script, or
  • We should write the article, writing only the wordings listed through the images present in the gallery of Halo: Infinite.

Open to suggestions. SpartansNeverDie (talk) 05:11, March 4, 2020 (EST)

And yeah, one more thing I want to mention, I added this discussion to the Halo: Infinite's talk page as there was none for the Halo 6: Yabda Cuts Loose page. SpartansNeverDie (talk) 05:13, March 4, 2020 (EST)

I believe this was the intention, so feel free to do so. Take a look at the old Halo Nation page and see if there's any merging work you can do to bring their content over. BaconShelf (talk) 05:27, March 4, 2020 (EST)

Yeah, ok. I will get on with it. SpartansNeverDie (talk) 05:35, March 4, 2020 (EST)
