Trivia

Overture starts off with the sound of rain falling and thunder clapping in the background. This could be a reference to the song "Riders on the storm" by the Doors, as it also starts off with the sound of a thunderstorm occurring in the background, but lasts throughout the entire soundtrack. Another explanation to why the sound of thunder can be heard, might be because only this track in particular is paired with the introduction to the game; explaining humanity's situation during the setting of the game, and who the ODSTs are, during which the sound of the thunder that is heard throughout the duration of the track is paired with visuals of lightning behind the introduction's text. The thunder could also be a reference to the fact that the Rookie wakes up after a thunderstorm passes over New Mombasa.
