I started editing the wiki on a regular basis in late 2017/ early 2018. I primarily focus on image categorisation and addition, as I have a long-standing interest in concept art and thus regularly peruse Artstation and other sources for new image uploads. I don't follow the lore side of things quite as regularly as I once used to, but I am working to clean up and bring the gameplay sections of the site up to date when possible, particularly in areas concerning ''Halo Wars'', ''Halo: Reach'' and ''Halo 4''. It's my hope that one day, aside from being the best lore-repository this side of the internet, Halopedia will also become the best place to look for Halo concept art!

Love lurking (proud lurker since 2006) and prefer reading articles. Style of editing focuses primarily on article presentation, so do not be surprised to see me making slight/minor changes, trivial arrangements of thumbnails and criticising users on template usage as well as encouraging not to put personal thoughts/opinion/feeling into the editing process (internet will drive you nuts if you do so).

A Patroller is a user who has access to a few additional features to help with the managing of the site and combating of vandalism.

What features do Patrollers have?

  • Marking high quality page revisions as "patrolled" to help with the reverting of poor or bad-faith edits.
  • Deleting and undeleting pages and uploaded images.
  • Protecting a page so it can not be edited or moved by anonymous users (autoconfirmed protection) or non-admins (full/sysop protection), in accordance with the policy.
  • Blocking IP addresses or user names from editing; and quick reversion ("rollback") of undesirable edits.

How can I become a Patroller?

Main article: Halopedia talk:Patrollers § Requests

On Halopedia, users have the ability to submit a request for Patroller rights on the talk page. The following requirements have been set forth for those requesting:

Requirements
  • Users must have at least 1,000 edits or sysop status on another wiki (please link to the wiki).
  • A member of Halopedia for at least four months.
  • No history of vandalism, abuse of Halopedia, or compromised accounts for the user in question.
  • No history of blocking on the basis of harassment or personal attacks.

All requests will be reviewed by the administration, who will decide whether or not to approve or deny the request. There is no limit to the amount of times a user may apply for Patroller rights. However, users must wait at least one month to submit a new request after any unsuccessful requests.

Meet the Patrollers!

I travel around the globe quite often and will be appearing at odd hours every now and then. I blame myself.

Meet the Halo Nation Staff!

Starting the 4th February, the Halo Nation Team will be made Patrollers on the wiki to get used to the wiki, and as show of good faith from us to give themselves a chance to show they are a good fit for the wiki. At the end of the month on the 4th March, the current Halopedia team will evaluate the activity of the Halo Nation admins via Request for Adminship to see if the are suitable to become an admin or not.
