Can we assume the scale comparison between the Orion and RCS-class armored cruiser as canon? If so the Orion-class assault carrier would be 2,240 meters long and 660 meters wide (at widest point).

Hope we'll get a view of one of these someday soon.262VigilantGuardian (talk) 15:32, 2 September 2015 (EDT)

The Orion-class was first known to me during Halo 4: The Essential Visual Guide development. It mention was to be on pages intended for the other UNSC ships such as carriers and battleships. These pages were cut after the first review and these two pages were given to the Dawn and Infinity which ended up with two pages apiece to keep the page count. Although the Orion was mentioned, along with the Epoch and Poseidon, as well as a page with two battleship classes, nothing more was mentioned about Orion aside from it was "viciously powerful" and was in the middle of the smaller Poseidon and larger Epoch. I don't know that 343i has fleshed it out any further yet including what it looks like. I too would love to know more someday. -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 21:16, 2 September 2015 (EDT)

Finally! We got our Orion. :)262VigilantGuardian (talk) 19:58, 22 January 2016 (EST)

Yep, not the Atlas for sure. And doesn't look like the Musashi either.262VigilantGuardian (talk) 19:58, 22 January 2016 (EST)

The description for this ship absolutely screams Halo Wars 2. -Japeth555

Size of Orion-class assault carrier.

Can we assume the scale comparison between the Orion and RCS-class armored cruiser as canon? If so the Orion-class assault carrier would be 2,240 meters long and 660 meters wide (at widest point).

These are not official numbers, but I measured my actual Orion resin Fleet Battles miniature and got these numbers:
Model at 1/20,000 scale:
Length = 11.1cm
Width = 3.05cm
Height = 3.3cm
And full-size, calculated:
Length = 2,220m (7,283.5ft)
Width = 610m (2,001.3ft)
Height = 660m (2,165.4ft)
I'm not saying these values should be put on the Orion page unless it's with a caveat that it's based on measurements of a physical model. Hopefully 'official' numbers will be forthcoming someday.
