Battle of Hanana and the Onyx Conflict
During the Battle of Havana on Earth, Spartan-II Blue Team destroyed a Scarab.[2] Another Scarab was deployed during the Onyx Conflict.[3]
Variants
Banished Scarab
- Banished Scarab - A model heavily modified by the Banished.
Type-29 Scarab
- Type-29 Scarab - The largest model with the most powerful focus cannon, known as the Super Scarab.
Type-36 Scarab
- Type-36 Scarab - A model with similar armament to the Type-27 Mantis.

Trivia
Like all known Excavators, the Scarab is named after an insect rather than a supernatural entity like most Covenant vehicles. Though these insects do have significant supernatural relevance, with Scarabs being a part of Egyptian mythology.
