A TACMAP[1] is a piece of UNSC technology. It is a abbreviation for the words "TACtical MAP". A TACMAP is usually used to help a soldier navigate the terrain, obstacles, geography, enemy territory, or space the soldier is occupying. TACMAPs are primarily used by Spartans, integrated into the HUD interface of the MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor[2] as well as the Semi-Powered Infiltration Armor.[1] A version of the TACMAP can also be used by the ODSTs, as a component of the VISR system in their armor.[3]
