:Because Halo originated from America. Its basis is American, and it is Halopedia policy to reflect that in its choice of spelling. Consider the Harry Potter wiki, where it is policy for things to be spelled the British way because of Harry Potter's British origin. --[[User:Dragonclaws|Dragonclaws]]([[User talk:Dragonclaws|talk]]) 23:37, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

Because Halo originated from America. Its basis is American, and it is Halopedia policy to reflect that in its choice of spelling. Consider the Harry Potter wiki, where it is policy for things to be spelled the British way because of Harry Potter's British origin. --Dragonclaws(talk) 23:37, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
The spelling really is annoying. Why can't it be moved back? Bioniclepluslotr 22:59, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

Different types of gauntlets?[edit]

There's at least two types of point-defense gauntlet by the looks of it. The first one is the common one we see in all Halo games 'cept Reach. This first type is more of a wrist device with a physical shield projector component attached to it. The shields is projected visibly directly from this shield projector (as described in detail in Halsey's journal). The second one, the only one from Reach, is different in that it is an actual gauntlet without the physical shield projector. Instead, the shield is projected from the gauntlet itself. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who noticed this and I'm sure the article should point out this detail.— Hacame 10:33, 30 May 2013 (EDT)
