Dwarka was a human Outer Colony of the Unified Earth Government. Shortly after the Human-Covenant War began, the planet was glassed by the Covenant.[2] A species of squirrels were native to this planet.[3] An insurrectionist camp was once stationed on the planet, holding prisoners they interrogated for data against the UNSC.[4]
After the war, the fetcher Oliver Birch came across a relatively intact and abandoned colony ship among the planet's field of debris, CAA Butterworth. The only survivor aboard the ship was a three-legged dog, Mabel.[5]
