This very page stipulates that a user must have 1000 edits to be granted rollback, but neither Anaba 'Eesoree or H*bad have this many edits. Whats going on? The reason GPT gave for giving H*bad rollback was sexeh! -- Manticore Talk | CSV 12:41, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

Request: HaloDude
I'm requesting Rollback rights, having recently passed the 2000 total edit mark. An obvious reason why i would like Rollback rights is to help revert vandalism and/or uneccesary edits. I'm responsible, and i'm also a councilor in the CoH. Anyway, i'll let you decide. What did HaloDude Do!?! 13:50, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

Firstly, 150 edits is not enough--I'll ask ED to change the policy to something moar reasonable. Secondly, the plus sign next to edit is there for a reason. When you use that, it properly formats new sections, since you are apparently incapable of doing so yourself--a blank line goes between the == Blahblahblah == and the rest of the message. --NOTASTAFF GPT(talk)(eating) 03:16, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

I just passed the 1000 edits mark, with about 38% mainspace, have a high position in most usergroups, and created the PoH. Here are a few examples of me reverting vandalism. Here's my edit count and contributions. I'm sure most active ones here have heard of me, so I'm not just "that guy who made that thing." Hope this gets through! Until next time, respect them Grunts. I hit the 1,000 mark about a week ago. In vandal fighting, I have experienced problems reverting the edits before the final edit made by that user/IP. Usually, vandals make 2 edits to pages making it hard for me or other users to fully revert thier edits. And so, that is why I am requesting rollback rights. I have been fighting vandals for a while because I just hate it when people think they can mess up what others have been working so hard on. - Firstly, the history of a page can be used to revert edits by multiple editors. I could revert this page to it's first revision rather easily, without the use of rollback or sysop tools.
- Secondly, I'm a little concerned with your use of ordinary undo, including this reversion in violation of policy. This page blanking after a content dispute also worries me.
- After taking that into consideration, and your editcount, I think this request should be denied for now. Come back when you have some more mainspace edits, and have demonstrated you know how to appropriately use normal editing tools. -- Manticore Talk | Contributions 13:40, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
- The page blanking was when I first arrived to the site... I do remember that, and i understand why I was turned down. I shall take your constructive critisism to heart.

Even though it has been a very few number of days since my first application, I feel that I am ready for the privilege of rollback. I have properly learned how to use editing tools since then and I have long since settled my issues that were referenced in the previous application. I have increased my edit count and I have significantly fought vandalism. Therefore, I request rollback rights for the second time.

- "I have properly learned how to use editing tools". No you haven't. Case in point: [1]. Instead of using the history to revert, you've used undo. What are you doing changing his userpage anyway? If he wants to blank it, that's his right. -- Manticore Talk | Contributions 07:04, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
- He asked me to change his userpage back. And yes, for Simon's request, he always used the "undo" button. You granted it to him. And so, I see your arguement is flawed. -- AJFile:ArmyJROTC.jpg 15:30, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
You should only use undo for reverting one revision that recent, otherwise use the history. I don't have the time to review every single edit either of you have made, but Simon doesn't have a history of going against policy or blanking articles like you do. - Usergroup ranks are irrelevant, and it has been less than a week since you last applied. You seem to end each unsuccessful application with "I don't need rollback", something you later strike out before applying again. Perhaps now that you have learnt how to revert using the history you can put that into practice a bit before applying again. -- Manticore Talk | Contributions 05:56, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
- I don't think there's anything extraordinary about the majority of our Rollback-ers, and I don't think there's anything particularly stellar about AJ. His administratorship at ACW was because ACW was inactive and he petioned to staff for administratorship, and UNSCOH rank is not particularly weighty in determination of this. While at our current poor standard for Rollback-ers, AJ is somewhat qualified, I think that the standard needs to be raised; there's nothing wrong on AJ's behalf, just the par at which we grade users. Alright, here's my issue
- I honestly don't understand Manticore's reasoning. Yes, AJ has made mistakes, but from what has been stated and knowing the histories of various members that have been granted rollback and looking at the previous reasons used to justify not giving a user rollback, I don't understand the objection. No one has ever before been rejected because of policy violations (certainly not policy violations in their first two weeks as a Halopedian) - all rejections to date have been based SOLELY upon a lack of mainspace edits. I have my suspicions as to the motivations behind this, but that's another story.
- I can understand RR's point - not that I agree with it, but I can understand it. However, the problem is that RR is not the one handing out the rollbacks and while he's banging on about lack of quality in those that have rollback rights, people who wouldn't meet RR's criteria for rollback continue to be granted rollback rights with no visible dispute by Manticore. Considering that I got him involved in this issue because I believed there was an issue of moderator bias that was playing a roll in this decision process, having him bang on about qualifications that is not expected of the average rollback candidate while there potentially is an issue of ongoing injustice is failing to get the job done.
- I simply don't believe that by Manticore's normal standards, AJ would be rejected for Rollback rights. I honestly think that if a person with a name he's never had an issue with had the same history as AJ, this entire incident would turn into a much different matter
- I don't, BTW, disagree that someone who re-applied only a week after being rejected should be accepted under the claim that they've turned things around and have demonstrated a renewed competence. I lay no challenge to the third rejection. However, the first two strike me as extraordinarily odd.

After a month of practicing, I believe that I am ready for the privileges of rollback. Many of my edits while I took a break from Halopedia to work on Ace Wiki were reverts to vandalism, and as seen, I have used the history to revert instead of undo. Along with that, I have gained valuable experience being an administrator and bureaucrat at Ace Wiki in vandalism fighting and rollback controls. Along with that, I have increased my main space edit count to 1,000.
Listed below are a few of the cases where I have reverted vandalism.

Well, I've just passed a 1000 edits, and although I frequently edit disucssion pages, and some edits on the main pages, I hope that the admins will grant me this authority because I've recently seen some newb edits, and can only suggest to some users who can do rollbacks. I hope that I can be granted this authority so that I can do them myself. MasterChiefPettyOfficerSpartan Contribution 11:32, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
- I concur, MCPO had to ask me to rollback these edits to the Monitor page. General simon rjh 13:58, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
- Rollback isn't a position of authority. It doesn't give you any more rights than a normal user. It is merely an additional technical tool to help revert vandalism. The fact that you think you need rollback to revert vandalism is quite concerning. Can you show any examples where you have actually reverted vandalism? Looking at your mainspace contributions, I can't see any edit summaries with "undo" or "revert", or anything similar that would indicate you are reverting vandalism. -- Manticore Talk | Contributions 19:40, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
- Ah, maybe the word "authority" is the wrong term. I admit that I edit talk pages frequently, but I resolve to do a better work, but the problem is, when I spotted vandalism, will I be putting all my time into entering a page with more than 32 kilobytes? I can only suggest to people who can do rollbacks. It is my wish that to do rollbacks when I spotted vandalism, maybe as well, to protect the pages which is most likely to be edit by newbs, even though in some cases, I haven't spotted vandalism as often as others, I would like to revert them when I spotted one.

I have recently reached the 1,370 edit mark, editing articles and discussion pages, and have put up at least a dozen articles for deletion, either for vandalism or because they were unneccessary. I've also reverted as much vandalism as possible in existing articles, such as sad people putting their gamer tags into random articles to get xbox live friends, and I deleted a particular piece of fanon on the Warthog article about a "narwhal." I have recently passed the 1,000 edit mark and am requesting Rollback Rights. I have been a constant monitor for spam and other lewd behavior, quickly making wrongs into rights. I remember one time, the entire Halo 3 page was deleted and replaced with "f*** halo", which I did not give a second's hesitation to undo. If you look at my blogs, most of them are concerning the improvement of the Halopedia site. All my quiz questions and polls are clean, correct, and not immature or crude. I am a member of the Half-Life Wikia as well as the Command and Conquer Wikia. I also am a member of Wikipedia and that means I hold the highest standards when it comes to proper editing. As most of you know, I thought of the idea to create the Defenders of Halopedia, working together to get it approved. Although some of you may disapprove of the Usergroup, it is obvious that it's intentions are respectful and for the support of Halopedia. If the the usergroup is created, Rollback Rights will help me execute my job as a Defender. If it is not accepted, Having Rollback Rights will help me still carry out DoH's righteous intentions, which were to relinquish Halopedia from impurity. I would be very grateful to have Rollback Rights and I hope you agree with my request. LovemuffinWiki UserpageTalk PageContributionsFile:Dancing master chief.gif 07:36, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Hello, I would like to request rollback rights(again). Since the last time I applied, I have earned an increased edit count of around 400. I now know basic, and increasingly more, commands, etc. for Halopedia, and have used them, such as stub or ratings. Also, I have been reverting very petty vandalism for a bit now. I would be greatly honored if you would grant me rollback rights. Thank you.Bllasae
- I'm going to need more of an answer than that, please. Also, I know about Halopedia policy, I don't use my bot anymore, and I sign my talk pages now. Thanks, and please, provide some more evidence of your opposition to my request.Bllasae 00:58, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
Support - GRANTED. You deserve them due to the help you given us. CommanderTony 01:56, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- I don't suppose you checked his contributions to see if he has a history of reverting vandalism? (He doesn't, just in case you were considering doing that now). Rollback isn't a special right, it's just a tool for users who are already engaged in anti-vandalism work. -- Manticore (talk) 13:28, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- Umm yeah, actually I did and I found numerous cases of vandalism fighting. File:CommanderTony Logo.PNGGeneral Tony, Administrator of HalopediaTalk 4/21/2008
Request: Ghost sangheili
I joined Halopedia December 2007 wondering about this place. Since that time i have accumulated more than 1,000 namespace edits, and more than 1,450 total edits. Through time I have learned much of the coding for Halopedia, though I admit I still have a lot to learn. I am the only volunteer who put his/her name on the Help:Userboxes page as a contact for those who need help. If you look at my recent blogs, I am driven to make this community as great a place as I can, and leave a permanent footprint in the site. I have found a love for this communities accomplishments and goals. I want to make Halopedia the best it can possibly be, a jewel in the crown of the Haloverse and all of wikia. I caught the vandal/sockpuppeteer LoLeR, but I would like to do more against vandalism than find things with dumb luck. Having Rollback Rights would be an honor, something I would be very grateful for. File:Major-gr1.gif Pryo 'Zarkum 04:10, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
Request: Crowbar
I don't have 1000 edits but if you look at what I have done I have manually fixed vandalism and corrected spelling errors. I know it is a large, and unrealistic request. But I thought I would try nonetheless. Crowbar 00:38, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
