Long before the Great Schism[1] |
The Banished is a violent mercenary organization primary composed of Jiralhanae, in addition to Sangheili, Mgalekgolo, and Unggoy.[2] Atriox, a powerful warlord, serves as the chief of The Banished, as well as the commander of the faction's massive army.[3] The Banished notably fought against the Covenant before the outbreak of the Great Schism.[4] Approximately thirty years after UNSC Spirit of Fire lost contact with the rest of the United Nations Space Command in 2531,[5] The Banished pursued the crew of the ship on Installation 00.[3]
