Strength

Currently, the article lists the entire order of battle in the Viery Territory under the UNSC strength. All of these units, however, did not participate at Szurdok Ridge. I think that, unless someone can somehow determine definatly which units were involved (assumably one of the mechanized or armored units, though we know what assuming makes you and me...), a note should be put explaining this. I don't see what the problem is. The issue you describe does not exist. The battle of Szurdok Ridge is the engagment that NOBLE Team participated in; this is all that the article does or should describe. The Troop deployments shown at the begining of the TotS cinematics do not show the troop strength at this battle; rather, they show troop strengths for the entire campaign (see above). This (i.e. the campaign, not the image) would include the Siege of New Alexandria, the Battle of Azod, and the Battle of Szurdok Ridge. This is why I had changed the caption of the troop deployments from "UNSC force deployments in the battle", to the current "UNSC force deployments in the Viery Territory during the battle" - a far more accurate description of what the image depicts. The "Battle of Viery" is the UNSC's entire effort to drive Covenant out of Viery, their attempts to "counter on every front". The Battle at Szurdok Ridge is a small, but nevertheless important, and officialy recognized (See Assault on the Stars at Waypoint), part of this campaign, the "Battle of Viery". If something must be done, the proper course of action would be to creat a new article for the "Battle of Viery". - DefeatingLine 15:23, 17 June 2012 (EDT)

My problem was more to do with the information presented within the infobox, which suggested that the brigades described in the cinematic were all involved in this one engagement, part of a larger - unnamed - counter-offensive. This is a vestige from when the article was broader. There is also the added problem of Order of Battle (Viery), which again suggests that it was concentrated on Szurdok Ridge.-- Forerunner 20:13, 17 June 2012 (EDT)
