A baffler was a Forerunner-designed camouflage technique employing geometric distortions. A baffler was used to hide the center of Djamonkin Crater, which housed the Didact's Cryptum during his first exile.[1] Despite being considered outdated at the time,[2] the device was demonstrated to be effective enough to hide the area from a Miner ship and an entire Forerunner fleet.[3][4]
