Gut Check was a bar on Halsted Street in the Greater Chicago Industrial Zone in the United Republic of North America on Earth. It was visited by Staff Sergeant Avery Johnson after his Aunt Marcille's death.[1]
During Johnson's visit, he became too physical with one of the club's girls, and, when reprimanded by a bouncer, a fight ensued resulting in Avery knocking out two bouncers and stumbling away from the club before the Zone's police force arrived.[1]
