She was born to Edvin Sentzke and his wife, Janey. Her grandfather Staffan Sentzke liked to spoil her, building her a doll's house in his spare time. When she wanted to try her aunt Hedda Sentzke's surströmming, her mother told her it was horrible and that it was what trolls ate.[1]
