The Kig-Yar Storm[1][2] is a Kig-Yar rank serving under the Covenant remnant.
Description
The Kig-Yar Storm is the lowest ranking class of Kig-Yar. They fill virtually the same role the Kig-Yar Minor did in the original Covenant. They are given a combat harness identical to the Kig-Yar Minors; the only difference is that the harness also comes in a red variant, a turquoise variant, and an orange variant. Their Point Defense Gauntlets are also purple, rather than turquoise like their Minor counterparts.
Like their Minor counterparts, Kig-Yar Storms can be easily brought down using an overcharged plasma pistol shot to the shield, followed by a precision headshot. At close range, they can be killed with one or two melee strikes.

List of appearances
- Halo 4 (First appearance)
- Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn (Armor) [note 1]
- Halo: Escalation
Notes
- ^ Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn feature Kig-Yar depicted in the likeness that only exist in the new, post-war Covenant order, in a scene set during the Human-Covenant War. While this appears to be a discrepancy, said Covenant can be assumed to belong in a rank category that did exist during the Covenant War, with its armor design retroactively inserted to the earlier time period as an armor variant that would later see use by the revised ranks of the post-war Covenant.
