:Another offhanded indication that the Covenant may have some form of distinct branches is found in [http://halo.bungie.net/news/content.aspx?type=topnews&link=thesoundofsack Bungie's ''Halo 3'' co-op introduction], which has this to say in reference to [[Usze 'Taham]]: ''"Following the dissolution of the Covenant, he was approached by the Ascetics to become one of their liaisons within the Navy."'' Like the mentions in the ''Visual Guide'', though, it doesn't give any details. For the reasons listed above we can add defensive space stations, though the ''Spirit'' seems like an odd one out given her assignment to the Third Fleet.
