Template:Base Infobox Nassau Station was one of the three hundred Super MAC-armed orbital defense platforms set in geosynchronous orbit around Earth. The station was likely oriented over Nassau, Bahamas, located in the Caribbean Sea. [1]
History
Nassau Station participated in the defense of Earth against Truth's fleet during the Battle of Earth. Using vectoring data gathered by the Tykos 30 in Ruwan Ackerson's bloodstream, Nassau Station managed to destroy the CCS-class battlecruiser Harbinger of Piety in one shot, killing the San 'Shyuum Minister of Inquisition.[2]
Behind the scenes
Dead or Alive 4 features Nicole-458 being aboard Nassau Station when it is sent back in time. According to the non-canon backstory created for the game, when the UNSC Apocalypso tumbled into real-space, being carried along in the wake of a freak Slipspace anomaly due to the activation of a mysterious Forerunner artifact, the anomaly intersected Nassau Station; creating a semi-stable "bubble" in the space/time continuum on its way back to the 21st Century. Nicole is trapped in the 21st century, guarding Nassau Station's secrets with anything but lethal force (she realizes killing someone in the past could have dire consequences) and waiting for the "bubble" to collapse and hopefully returning her to the year 2552.[3] Due to the issues noted in the Spartan-458 article, this particular appearance of Nassau Station and Spartan-458 are not considered canon in the Halo universe.
