Template:Individual Ship Infobox Incorruptible was a Reverence-class cruiser serving within the Covenant navy.
Background
It was attached and affixed to the Second Fleet of Homogeneous Clarity[1] and was crewed by Sangheili from the Dn'end Legion.[2]
When the Great Schism started in November 2552, the Incorruptible was transferred into service within the Covenant separatists' naval forces, and managed to defeat Jiralhanae forces who attacked them.
The Incorruptible was then sent to the planet Onyx, to capture Forerunner technology. They encountered human resistance, and was later destroyed when the Sentinels opened fire on the fleet.
History
During the 9th Age of Reclamation, the vessel was commanded by Tano 'Inanraree. It was a vanguard ship of High Charity and its defensive fleet, following the holy city likely from Installation 04 to Installation 05, and safeguarding it during the Battle of Installation 05.
Great Schism
Battle of High Charity
During the Battle of High Charity in November 2552, 'Inanraree had ordered the ship to be infected by the Flood, as he was a member of the Governors of Contrition, a radical fringe sect of the Covenant who viewed all Forerunners creations to be sacrosanct; believing the Flood to be a Forerunner creation, they saw the parasite as something to be embraced and worshiped. However, a crewmember, Major Voro 'Mantakree, with the support of the rest of the crew, killed the Shipmaster using a Needler-pistol weapon, and thus gained control of the vessel.
'Mantakree then fended off attacks from Chieftain, Gargantum, who controlled several ships. They then fled to the outpost world Joyous Exaltation in the Salia system, heeding the call of Imperial Admiral Xytan 'Jar Wattinree.[3] The Imperial Admiral gave Voro the title of Fleet Master and assigned the Incorruptible as the flagship of a small fleet of 30 ships sent to Onyx to chase the captured destroyer Bloodied Spirit and prevent the humans from taking Forerunner artifacts.
Battle of Onyx
The Incorruptible, along with its ships, took part in the Battle of Onyx where it was destroyed by HORNET mines laid by the prowler, UNSC Dusk. Anything that remained of the ship or the fleet was destroyed when Lieutenant Commander Kurt Ambrose detonated the FENRIS nuclear warheads and when the hundreds of thousands of Sentinels destroyed the planet from the inside.
