The Z-9930 Information Vector Console, also known as Terminals, is a Forerunner device.[1]
Overview
These terminals are located across many Forerunner constructs which can be accessed by acclimated AI or native ancillas. They are generally databases of knowledge and past experiences, but many operate simply as a conduit for information transmitted from the Domain.
Operational history
While on Installation 00, John-117 used these to communicate with 05-032 Mendicant Bias. Four years later, while on Requiem and other Forerunner constructs, Cortana was able to access several of them, revealing ancient secrets buried by the Forerunners before the activation of the Halo Array.
