Template:Game Infobox Halo: Spartan Assault is an upcoming Halo game for Windows 8.[1] Developed by Vanguard Games (in collaboration with 343 Industries), the game is a twin-stick shooter and would be available for Windows 8 platforms such as the Microsoft Surface and smartphones running Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 OS.[2] The game will provide 25 missions set between the events of Halo 3 and Halo 4. The game will explore the first missions of the SPARTAN-IV Program.
Plot summary
Set between the events of Halo 3 and Halo 4, Halo: Spartan Assault is a new chapter of the Halo universe that explores the first missions of the SPARTAN-IV Program and the backstory of the Human-Covenant War[1] as the player characters view them through a historical computer simulation.[3]
