Episode 01 is the first of five "episodes" in the Iris campaign (found here). The first person to find the site and enter the first of 100 needed "Activation Keys" was a devoted, [and lucky] ARG participant only known as Klutch. [[1]] Once the page is loaded, there is a floating and rotating thing, with several Forerunner glyphs inscribed on it. Three of them link to files to download, and one links to a video that can be played. One of the files, Log5_Transcript.txt, contains the transcript of the video:
THIS IS MY FINAL ENTRY, AND I AM LEFT WITH ONE HOPE THAT ONE DAY, SOMEONE, ANYONE IS AROUND TO WITNESS THIS WARNING {//} (IF YOU ARE THAT WITNESS, AND IT SEEMS WE PINNED ALL OURS HOPES ON THIS SINGLE SUICIDAL PLAN) KNOW THAT A THOUSAND OTHER PLANS WERE TRIED AND FAILED {//} (MILLIONS OF BRAVE AND HONORED SOULS DIED TRYING TO AVERT THIS TERRIBLE, DESPERATE SITUATION) KNOW THAT ENERGETIC AND TENACIOUS AS LIFE IS IT HAS AN ANTITHESIS JUST AS POWERFUL IT IS THAT THING THAT WE MUST OBLITERATE
Another file, Slide_Ref070107.jpg, has a picture and says "FLOOD CONTAINMENT CONTROL" and "INFECTIOUS STUDY REF#070507," is a transmission electron micrograph, though of what it is unknown. If opened in notepad, the words "SEM of Streptococcus pyrogens bacteria, causes sore throat x2,000" can be found. Another picture, StarImage1.jpg, is a picture of the stars with AdjutantReflex's avatar. Another file, Array_Recorder_Data.txt contains a transcript of the activation sequence of the Halo Array and a monologue by the IsoDidact, (identified in the log as {D-com}), the individual responsible for firing the Array. Additionally, some communication fragments scattered in the log appear to refer to the concurrent Battle of the Maginot Sphere, waged between Offensive Bias and Mendicant Bias during the activation of the Halos.
