Official Helljumper.com description
- "Description: Halo Helljumper is a short series of films that follows the life of one human ODST from his enlistment in the UNSC before the Human-Covenant War to around the Fall of Reach. Unlike a lot of soldiers, he was lucky enough to survive through 27 years of a losing battle against a hostile alien civilization, known as the Covenant. Through his experiences, we’re going to expose you to an amazing universe full of devastation, grief, affection, and most importantly, hope. Adapted from the short story, “Dirt,” by Tobias S. Buckell"

After Gage and his team hear about the attack on Harvest by the Covenant, he volunteers to be part of the evacuation team for the remaining civilians on the planet. By the time they arrive, Harvest is already overtaken by Covenant. They struggle to find their way through the mess.[4]
Changes from Dirt
- The Rookie saved Gage Yevgenny from an Unggoy, though in the original story, no enemy has gotten near to the Pelican crash site before the Rookie's arrival.
- Gage Yevgenny joined the ODSTs immediately after he left home, as opposed to be a Colonial Military Administration soldier before inspired to join the UNSC.
- Due to the change above, Allison Stark was never introduced, and Yevgenny only met Felicia Sanderson and Eric Santiago during training, and not after going to CMA boot camp. Santiago was never sent to a coma by insurrectionists.
- Unlike the original story, Yevgenny, Sanderson, and Santiago were sent to fight on Harvest.
- Yevgenny lost track of Sanderson because he was knocked out during the battle, though in the original plot, Sanderson was transferred away from his squad.
- Template:UNSCship made an appearance as the ship Yevgenny was brought aboard after being knocked out.
