Heretic faction emblem found
Hey, after doing a little searching around, I found an emblem that looks strangely familiar, that looks almost identical to the one in Halo Wars. I think I may have somehow seen this in another Halo game besides Halo Wars, like possibly in Halo: Combat Evolved or in Halo 2, but I can't be sure. If it really was seen in Halo 2 or anywhere else, then maybe it should be posted in the article. But I need evidence. Can anybody verify this for me? --Xamikaze330 (talk|contribs) 16:39, 31 January 2013 (EST)Xamikaze330

The Seperatists were those Covenant that followed the ARBITER and the Heretics were on that gas mining facility near Halo 04. THey are NOT the same. -- CrzyAznSprtn 06:46, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

Agreed. They are easily distinguishable. The Heretics were found on the Gas Mine. They had different armor and they were rebelling against the Covenant. The "Seperatists" on the other hand, were forced out of the Covenant enturely, they include ALL Elites. they are two different factions entirely. -ED 04:06, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

I think we need a picture of a Elite Heretic to make the article more complete. -Black Mercy 18:25 6 October 2006 (UTC)

How do we know that "beige and gold colors" are from the Sangheili homeworld ? --Climax Viod 19:33, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

It was revealed in the Action Figure box description. -ED 21:39, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

Suggestion

Bull! most of this IS in different pages!Theres the Heretic shee page Heretic Grunt (Unggoy) page the Heretic Elite (Sangheili) page and Heretic leader (Sesa 'Refumee) page!

I agree with Climax. HOW do we know those are the colors???kama 06:28, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

Because, if you look at a picture of Sanghelios, those are the colors it is.... Echo-77 02:55, June 21, 2010 (UTC)

Eh, probably

The ideaology should remain on that page, while the rest of the sections (Unggoy, Sangheili, and Sesa 'Refumee) should appear as just links to their own pages. They already exist, so its mostly just a matter of eliminating some stuff on the general page.

Heretics in Reach? What?

According to the latest Bungie Weekly Update by Urk, Heretics (Heretic elites I'm guessing) are under the list of firefight enemies. Should this be mentioned on the page? —This unsigned comment was made by 98.144.19.106 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

I read that too and I think it should be, but i'm not an admin. (sign your posts please). FatalSnipe117 00:12, June 20, 2010 (UTC)

I don't think those Heretics are of the same faction as these. That is, the Heretics mentioned in Firefight seem to be ones that use Human weapons, not ones split from the Covenant (a B.net user found a description of the Heretics in one of the Firefight demos at E3, here's the link[1] to the forum thread and video). Then again, I don't know if thats enough information to warrant removing the info from the trivia section. --Torvus Morio 02:51, June 21, 2010 (UTC)

Retitle

Wouldn't it make sense for the name to be shorted to the Refumee Rebellion? --Dragonzzilla 15:17, 16 September 2012 (EDT)

That title would imply it being an event, as opposed to a faction which this is. So no.--Spartacus, Halopedia Administrator Talk 15:32, 16 September 2012 (EDT)

Kig-Yar and others

Don't think there is ever such a thing as Heretic Kig-Yar within the heretic faction. Keep in mind that Kig-Yars are mercenaries, aligning with the superior side when there is an internal struggle within a faction. Since the events that transpired in the terminals were before the formation of the heretic faction, the Kig-Yar in that video would be part of the Covenant and not of 'Refumee's Heretic.

Also, will be rewriting the whole "rank system" since it's inaccurate.— subtank 05:14, 25 September 2012 (EDT)

It was just originally trivia that got "promoted" to the main article. I wrote it, and it could stay trivia. Don't know why it was moved up. Tuckerscreator(stalk) 11:51, 25 September 2012 (EDT)
