(Was found on Requiem, translocated Dr. Glassman from Infinity, and is an artifact. Logical name, more unique than the usual "unidentified" shit.) |

An unidentified Forerunner artifact was discovered on Requiem in 2558.
History
In 2558, both Covenant remnant and UNSC forces began looking for the artifact on Requiem. The Covenant remnant determined that it was located in a region of artificial volcanic activity; after arriving there, they immediately secured the area and began looking for the artifact. Fireteam Crimson arrived later, after they discovered the artifact's location from a map found in an area known as "Refuge". Upon eliminating Covenant and Promethean forces in the area Crimson discovers the artifact and moves to secure it. While awaiting extraction, Promethean reinforcements arrive, Crimson manages to hold them off until a D79-TC Pelican arrives to extract them.[1] Shortly after being brought aboard the UNSC Infinity, the artifact activated draining power from the ship. Commander Sarah Palmer managed to temporarily deactivate it by kicking it. Dr. Glassman, the Infinity's chief engineer, started examining it, the artifact reactivated pulling Dr. Glassman inside it through some kind of portal, disintegrating him and pulling the remains inside. It then translocated and reassembled him inside a Covenant-held site on Requiem.[2] Captain Lasky was almost pulled in as well trying to save the doctor.[3]
