The Killing Frenzy Medal (known as Running Riot in Halo 2) is a multiplayer and Spartan Ops medal awarded for killing 10 opponents in a row without dying. In campaign and Firefight it is awarded for killing 20 enemies in a row without dying. The award is represented by a bronze 5-sided star with a green target in the middle. When someone gets this medal the announcer will shout "Killing Frenzy!".
Trivia
- In Halo: Combat Evolved, because there are no medals, if you kill ten opponents in a row without dying, you will still hear the announcer, and see "Running Riot!" in the upper right corner.
- Strangely, in Halo 3 this medal does not show up immediately after one gets the 10th kill in a row. Instead, they need to wait for approximately 3 seconds before the medal and announcement appear. As a result it is one of the most glitched Halo 3 medals, along with Splatter Spree.
- Earning this medal in a Halo 2 Vista multiplayer game unlocks the Running Riot achievement.
- Earning this medal unlocks the Halo 3 Killing Frenzy achievement when earned in a ranked free for all playlist.
- The medal has been given a Bungie difficulty rating of 7 out of 10.
