Introduction
History
Community Social Gaming (CSG), previously known as Halopedia Warz, was created in 2007 as a collaborative gaming effort by former administrator RelentlessRecusant. At first Halopedia Warz was a spur-of-the-moment kind of thing, with matches scheduled whenever Relentless was available. Later on Halopedia Warz turned into an internal gaming network where organized teams faced each other in Halo 2 & Halo 3. When RelentlessRecusant took an indefinite leave of absence in 2009, the responsibilities were taken up by CommanderTony and Spirit-of-HALO (now known as Killjax) as a way to bring the local gaming community together. Due to time constraints however, Halopedia Warz was put on hiatus.
Now, as a way to promote Halo 4, Halopedia Warz has been revitalized and reorganized into "Community Social Gaming" as Halopedia's new social gaming effort.
You can check out older matches of CSG, as well as Halopedia Warz, here.
Information
As you probably all know, Halo 4 will be released worldwide on November 6th, 2012. I figured hosting a simple gaming event within Halo 4 would be a fantastic way to celebrate the game's launch. Its a good way to socialize amongst our digital selves and have a little fun. Sounds good, right?
So before I go any further, I would like to know first the amount of players who would like to participate in order to know for certain if this will proceed or not.

Community Updates
This small yet simple gaming community will be organized accordingly and updated frequently on this page for as long as it is allowed. Differentiating timezones and player availability will also be taken into account when scheduling occurs. Good news, CSG has reached the minimum count of members needed to continue on as a community project! It may not seem much (at first, hopefully), but it certainty was a surprise, and just in time too... If by the 30th of November we didn't get the required amount of sign-ups we had initially hoped for, we would of had to pull the plug on this whole thing. Yeah... Spartacus and I are really grateful for your interest here in Community Social Gaming. We Really Are. Now on to the good stuff! We have many things planned for you guys in the near future so we're eager to kick this thing off right away. We have our first "Gaming Event" planned just shortly after Halo 4's launch. It will be held 2 weeks after the game's release on Saturday, November 17, 2012. Plenty of time to get used to the game and get a handle on some things *cough* my aim *cough*. As for the exact time of day, that is yet to be determined. So in order to establish said time, we need to know where on Earth you live, literally. Ok, not literally, but we do need to know the time-zones you people reside in so we can plan accordingly. If you are still interested in our first Gaming Event scroll down to the Community Roster below and put your username, gamertag, and your timezone by using the format provided. The Gaming Event will be a custom game hosted by us, the Community Leaders. We will continue these events for as long as we are still active. We may need help on occasions so keep your eyes open if you would like to help out sometime when one of us is not available (or just lazy). Also to point out, if you're interested in some Spartan Ops and would like to go at it in groups, then send a message to either Spartacus or me to have your name and gamertag listed in our Cooperative roster below. Any questions? Fell free to ask us. |
Rules & Gaming Etiquette
- Sportsmanship: Respect fellow Halopedians on the field of battle, regardless if they are on your team. This is just a game, poor conduct and extremely foul language will not be tolerated.
- Teamwork: Work as a team to achieve victory over the opposing team, not participating without prior warning will result in the exclusion of that day's events.
- Enjoyment: Make this a fun, exciting, and enjoyable environment for everybody. Do not shun other players with profanities, racial slurs, or other hateful comments. As stated before, this is just a videogame... treat it as that.
- Requirements: Halopedians must have a copy of Halo 4 to participate as well as any downloadable-content (DLC) that are subsequently released after the game's launch (there will be exceptions however, but it is heavily advised); in addition, have an up-to-date Xbox LIVE Gold subscription.
- Participation: Matches will begin shortly after the posted time. Players who are scheduled to game and have been organized into their respective teams will need to participate.

Interested in some cooperative play? Need a buddy to game with?
If you're interested in Spartan Ops, but don't want to go at it alone, then send a message to either Killjax or Spartacus to have your name added to the list below. This will let any member of CSG know that you are available to play Spartan Ops with. Remember, once you're on the list you will be subjected to occasional invites, if any.
If for some reason you do not want to be on the list, or do not have the time anymore, just ask to be removed and we will promptly do so.
