Scene opens up to various shots of the UNSC Forward Unto Dawn. as the montage continues, Cortana's voice can be heard, repeating one phrase over and over.
- Cortana: "Mayday, mayday. This is UNSC FFG-201 Forward Unto Dawn, requesting immediate evac. Survivors aboard. Prioritization code VICTOR05-3-Sierra-117."
Scene blacks out.
HALO 4: FORWARD UNTO DAWN Part 1
Title fades out. Scene then shows Commander Thomas Lasky reviewing the distress signal.
- Lasky: "Play it again, please."
As the signal plays again, Lasky starts to space out.
- Unknown: "Shall I...play it again sir?"
As Lasky spaces out, the voice gets fainter.
- Unknown: "Sir?.......Commander Lasky?"
As he blinks even more, Lasky opens his eyes as a teen, inside a Cryo chamber.
- Chen: "No, Sully. Vickers is right"
Chen approaches Lasky.
- Chen: "My combat score sucked because of you."
