Forerunner is the third campaign level of Halo 4.[1] In the level, John-117 must disable a beam array that is causing communications interference preventing Cortana from contacting the UNSC Infinity in order to warn the ship to stay away from Requiem. Both Storm and Promethean forces are encountered as enemies in the level.[2]
