Major Easley was the pilot of a UNSC Longsword interceptor. He was featured only in the Halo 2 E3 Demo, but was not a character in the final retail version. In the E3 Demo, Sergeant Banks radioed him in to help the Master Chief to destroy a Covenant artillery gun. He piloted his Longsword interceptor into the area and destroyed the artillery piece.[1]

He is named after a member of the Bungie staff named Joy Easley.
