I don't think the Precursors even have a slight chance of being the Flood, one is that the Precursors existed long before the Forerunners and as far as anyone knows, the Flood and Forerunners were contemporaries. And for a race revered like gods in the Forerunner religion, isn't it a little strange that they would be trying to exterminate their "gods"?
