The name references organization [https://gundam.fandom.com/wiki/Karaba Karaba] and character [https://gundam.fandom.com/wiki/Paptimus_Scirocco Paptimus Scirocco] also from 1985 anime Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. It is possible the references to Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam are due to Halo Infinite's Campaign taking place on the [https://www.halopedia.org/Installation_07 Zeta Halo] ring.
