:The Army and Air Force units reassigned to Requiem were possibly deployed there to begin a large-scale, permanent occupation of the planet. But I've always doubted that the Army, at the very least, is a purely "garrison force." I'm sure it was stated as such because the UNSC was mostly on the defensive and huge planetary invasions mounted by the Army would have been costly, whereas Marine offensives would have been small and swift. Now that the UNSC is the seemingly sole superpower in the post-war galaxy, the Army can now deploy in-strength for expeditionary roles. {{User:Grizzlei/Sig}}
