Template:Character Infobox The Minister of Discovery was a San 'Shyuum holding the title of Minister. Born 1,300 revolutions before 2552, he achieved his Ministerial rank 214 revolutions before 2552.
Notably, he was the one responsible for unlocking a Flood containment facility on Installation 04, resulting in the final Flood outbreak during the Human-Covenant War.[1] While the minister was safely aboard his vessel, the team he had left at the facility broke the seals containing the Flood specimens, which escaped and quickly overtook them.
During the invasion of High Charity by the Flood, the Minister barricaded himself in his quarters to escape the ravenous parasite. In his last hours, he wrote a written confession to be recorded for future generations to read. Feeling that he had atoned for the lies he had told all his life, he unlocked the doors to his chamber, allowing the Flood to pour in and kill him. He was then presumably infected.[2]
